Oxford Entrepreneurs was launched on 6th Feb 2003. In just under 5 years we have achieved a great deal:

  • Showcased by the Department of Trade and Industry as one of the top 3 organisations promoting entrepreneurship in the UK
  • Over 3000 members, 80% of which are students at Oxford
  • Website created as the hub of the organisation, attracting over 1 million hits per annum.
  • Featured in The Sunday Telegraph, The Economist, twelve student press articles, four local press articles, on BBC News Online, a BBC Radio interview and in the University magazine, read by over 140,000 people worldwide (see Media Room)
  • Held Idea Idol for 4 years running
  • Spun out more than 14 student-run companies through the Young Enterprise Programme
  • Sir Alan Sugar (Founder, Amstrad) , Karan Bilimoria (Founder, Cobra Beer), and Dame Anita Roddick (Founder, The Body Shop) have appeared in our Game Changer Speaker Series.
