Make your Mark - a chance to win £1000!

OE has teamed up with the Make Your Mark campaign to celebrate the launch of a new competition: A Grand Idea to Make Your Mark in association with MTV and Fopp. If you are aged 16-25 years old, you will have the chance to win £1000 by entering a business idea in 100 words. In particular, the judges are looking for something that is original, funny, inspiring or enterprising, but it can be about absolutely anything! Best submissions on the day will be awarded prizes which include pens, t-shirts, books from Lord Bilimoria (Cobra Beer) and Sir Richard Branson as well as other goodies! Red Bull helps give your idea wiiings @ the OE BBQ!

People have “Flugelbinders” all the time and just never seem to write them down in time before they loose it. These are ideas that spring to mind in the most random of places or situations and there is no pen handy or no one to tell. The Red Bull Flugelbinder website has been launched to make sure you not only log those ideas on line or via text, but encourages you to build upon them, make sure they don’t die without a good go.

Guest Speaker: Brad Rosser, Co-Founder, The Inside Track Group

If this wasn’t enough, we are also delighted to be hosting our guest speaker – Brad Rosser. Brad co-foundered The Inside Track Group in 2003. Today the Group is the UK’s largest residential property investment services company, with profits in excess of £13m (2006) and one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK. The Group provides property investment education, sources residential investment property in the UK and overseas for its clients, and also provides mortgages and insurance. The Group has educated more than 25,000 individuals, and sourced in excess of £2.3 billion of UK and international property for its clients.

Prior to The Inside Track Group, Brad was Group Corporate Development Director for the Virgin Group, directly working alongside Sir Richard Branson. At Virgin, Brad oversaw the development of Virgin Direct, Virgin Active, and Virgin Vie. Before Virgin, Brad worked with McKinsey and Co. in their London office. Come along and hear Brad’s story and his experiences of working as a consultant, then working alongside the formidable Sir Richard Branson and finally his experiences in setting up his own company.
