A serial entrepreneur, Stelios has established more than 17 ventures, the first of which was Stelmar Shipping at the age of 25. Stelios floated Stelmar Shipping on the NTSE in 2001 and in 2005 it was sold for approx $1.3 Billion.

Stelios, who prefers to be called by his first name, is best know for creating easyJet PLC when he was 28. He is often credited as the pioneers who changed the European aviation scene for the benefit of millions of consumers. Nowadays, Stelios sees himself more as the manager of the brand and less as a manager of one of the companies. He continues to extend the brand, with mixed success, by creating new easy branded ventures in the areas of travel, leisure, telecomes and personal finance. These include easyJet plc, easyCar, eastCruise, eastBus and easyHotel.
