His long and colourful career has seen him become the Chief Executive of AMSTRAD, founder and owner of the companies Viglen, AMSHOLD and AMSAIR, a 13 percent shareholder of Tottenham Hotspur FC, Knighted in 2000, placed on The Times Richlist (2004) at no.45 and, most recently, the host of the UK version of the popular TV show, The Apprentice.
