It is with great pleasure that the committee of Oxford Entrepreneurs warmly welcomes you to the inaugural conference on "Demystifying the African Economy". In line with the mission statement of Oxford Entrepreneurs, the aim of this conference is to provide a platform to enlighten and educate students, aspiring entrepreneurs and business professionals on the dynamic and volatile business, political and social atmosphere characteristic of Africa.

Through eminent keynote speakers and the thought-provoking panel discussion on current and relevant business issues and opportunities in Africa, this conference will draw participants' attention to the realities, opportunities and challenges of economic development in Africa and to further investigate some of the continent's burgeoning sectors. In addition, it will provide an opportunity to network with distinguished business professionals and obtain a totally well-rounded view of Africa from a plethora of perspectives.

The Master classes will provide a rich and intimate atmosphere for scholars, aspiring business professionals and keynote speakers to engage in stimulating conversations on topics including:

It is our hope that the conference will create a forum wherein experts from multilateral and governmental institutions, the private and public sectors, and the academic arena can share their expertise and diverse perspectives.
